Default Track prep - pull fuses?

I am prepping my bike (-04 1000ds) for a track day on monday, and I was going to pull the fuses for the head and tail lights, but I'm not sure if I can.

The Head/tail light fuse seems to share with the solenoid switch. Does that mean if I pull that fuse I won't be able to start it?
The stop light fuse is shared by the key sense. Does that mean I'll have to do a red key thing if I pull that fuse and try to start it?

Thanks in advance...
-Elias

(if it does, I'll just pull the bulbs, but, fuses would be easier.)

I just pull the headlight fuse. The tail light fuse is the same one as the gauges. Just put tape over all of them and you'll be fine. If you don't pll the headlight fuse, the heat from them headlight could cook the tape and make it stick to the glass.

can't you unplug the headlight cable where it exits the housing? i know you can on the older bikes. same with the tailight. under the seat should be the wiring for it and there should be some male/female connectors. just unplug them and tape them up.
