Sidestand wiring short?
My 2002 900 sport sat in the rain today for a few hours before leaving for home.When i tried to start it the relay clicked for a couple seconds before the motor turned over and started normally.It ran fine,but when i tried to start it at home to put it in the garage,it wouldn't fire and a little smoke came up from around mid engine.Yikes! I pulled the left bodywork off and found the wires above the sidestand waterproof connector to be a little crispy.Obviously a short in there.I've been thinking of putting the "evoluzione" sidestand harness in there,but that's not the fried part.Anyone have a similar experience with this kind of thing?
