Default Removing oil cooler

I'm asking this on behalf of a friend. He wants to run a carby 750SS motor without the oil cooler (don't ask ).
The diagram in the manual for the engine without an oil cooler shows the connectors blanked off and the feed and return passages connected internally.

Does this passage exist on the motors with an oil cooler but is internally plugged or does the fitment of the hose spigots blank it off? Or is there something else altogether?

Anyone know the answer?

Here is a picture of the 620 kit.(The other way around)
A part from the obvius items that is needed.
Seems that the blue item under the valvecover gasket.
Is the Oil bypass spring that is needed to be changed.
Seems to be mounted inside the threaded adapter that the oilfilter is screwed to. See partlist.

Thanks for that. I remember a discussion about that bypass spring before somewhere now that you've reminded me.

Default Oil passages

Hello Derek. Yes, the oil bypass spring is removed when the inlet/outlet are blocked. Where did you get that page with the oil passages? I sure would like a big copy. Thanks.
