Default 212 grind cams inconsistant

I degreed some v2 212 cams today . The advertised duration is 265 so i was expecting to see 259 or so with 0.10mm clearances . However one cam showed 272 and the other showed 276 WTF !!!

With my desired LC one cam is closing way later and opening earlier . I have had similar stuff happen from time to time but not this much. The LC is now what it is but lef wondering about setting cams using other methords instead of LC

I did some v2-211 for a friend a few years ago and i got 263/238 (forward), 255,5/238 (rear) duration. Should be 267/236. I was a but surpriced with the big difference between the cams. The difference in LC (in/ex) was about 2 degrees between the cams so it was not so bad.

Jocke.........

I friend of mine has V2 cams in his M900ie. He had a hard time setting the valve clearence since the cams base circle differs as much as 0,20 mm !!!
So I'm not surpriced that you measure inconsistant duration.
