Default C/R to Racebike Conversion.

Has anyone done this??? I have a 97 C/R and purchased SS fairings along with the mounting hardware and can not seem to get the fairings to all line up and fit properly. Should they just bolt on with the little extension bars for the rear mounting point and the "spool" like spacer for the front mounting point? When I mount it that way, it seems like the front fairing's mounting points are wider then the side fairing's mounting points. Please advise...

Also, in regards to the belly pan, mine will touch the exhaust pipe unless I do not use the brackets on the bottom of the fairings and kind of push it down and install it with wellnuts. Let me know if you have encountered this and how it worked out for you.

Thanks,

Anthony

the fairing brackets for the ss are different from those of the cr. you have to buy or make some brackets for the full fairing to fit properly on a cr.

Thanks for the reply. I actually got it to work out with the help of someone. Now the bellypan touches the exhaust, but I put heat reflective tape on the bellypan and will tweek it a bit so there is some space in between. Here is a pic.

Thanks for your help.
