I have a '99 750ss full fairing of the same color. I'm needing bottom fairing halves - mine have cracked and melted in places. Why are you parting it out & how much for the whole bike?

If RK doesn't take it, interested in the exhaust as well. Let me know how much it'd be plus shipping to Tacoma, WA 98467.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but am I correct in understanding that the 1999 and later 900 exhaust headers will bolt right on the pre-1999s and solve the dragging header problem? Is that what you want it for, Reckless Kelly and jpuck91?

The high-mount exhaust only provides more clearance for the cans. Unless you replace the actual exhaust header, you'll still have the dragging header issue. To fix that, you need something like a Sil-Moto spaghetti header, or a Hindle full system, or something custom.

That's what I'm asking; will replacing a 1997 header with a 1999 header solve the dragging-the-header problem (on the 1997)?

The stock headers are pretty easy to modify if you know a good welder. You need to cut a short section (I think 1/2 in.) out of the pipe between the 4 way and the slip on, reweld keeping the original orientation and bingo, no more dragging.

Stock headers are listed on fleabay all the time, so fear not!

High dollar full exhaust systems are not necesary with the 91-98 2 valve unless you have a hot rod engine that includes ported heads and short intake manifolds.

If you want to do this mod send me a PM and I will put you in touch with a friend who recently did the mod.

Courtney, thanks for the info. That's kinda what I thought; both the cut/weld on the stock pipe idea, and that for the $, a full system wouldn't help power (although that's not why I was wanting it). Thanks for the PM suggestion; I may take you up on that.
