Default Pre '98 tank on post '99 SS?

Has anyone swapped a tank from the 1998 and earlier years to a late model SS? I know the base is the same and the only difference is the design on the top. Just curious and would love to see pics.

I fuel injected a '95 900SS, and the fuel tank worked just fine.
However, I used the stock petcock and absolutely refrain from closing and/or opening it. The fuel pressure is 3 bar and the seals in the petcock are not made for that much pressure.
Also, the return line just dumps into the tank and that can cause fuel aeration without a de-gasser.
The fuel pump holder does work with the high pressure pump.
As far as how it fits on the the '99 frame? Don't know.

You know, from some angles I absolutely LOVE the looks of my Terblanche SS, and from others I absolutely HATE it. I have been searching for a fix for the notch in the fairing that sits behind the wheel, then the angle of the top of the tank seems to be at odds to the angle suggested by the fairings. Lots of wonky stuff going on that works, then doesn't.

Frustrated, I traded the thing in against a 1098...
