They are the way to go if you are building a strong motor.
Now what will they do for your motor's performance?
Here's what Epicycle in the AU has to say about Carrillos!

Little known fact;
The reciprocating weight (little end) of the Carrillo rod is the same as Titanium Pankl rod though the rotating weight (big end) is slightly higher. Machine the equivalent big end weight difference from the flywheel & you achieve the same result performance wise as Titanium Pankls at about 1/3 the cost.

How do you guys like them apples!

Some toyota rods (4ag) are the same spec's as some ducati motors. I have some formula Atlantic rods I am about to use.

Talking about under weight and over build!

I can't give you a direct account of how it felt as I had other mods done at the same time. The change to Carrillos' was due to the strength of the rod, lighter weight and for overall engine balance. I don't believe you would want to just change the rods due to the Carrillos being lighter than stock. You would probably have to lighten your crank or flywheel, as I would recommend checking with someone that knows what they're talking about .

Good luck

This is interesting!
I have corrillos' in my 750 race-bike, BUT I haven’t used it in a few years (1999?!) I have no idea what it's like to ride anymore
I have been out of the Duc thing for years but it’s good to see some folks still messing with the little twin. I love mine and will die with it in my possession.
BTW, 1fast750SS careful revving that thing, you'll break the cases, and they are getting very hard to find! = (.
