Default Yoyodyne clutch slave cylinder VS. Evoluzione Clutch Slave cylinder

I need to get one but im not sure what way im going. The Duc Dealership in SF pushes the Evoluzione and the Specialized Duc shop (DESMOTO) pushes Yoyodyne.

Wich one is better for my 99SS? Im mostly concerned about the leaking of fluid. I've leaked fluid once and since then have been changing the gaskets and bleeding the damn thing about every 800 miles (as a precautionary maintenance). Second is the pull pressure on the clutch lever. Its killing my hand after 1.5 hrs of street riding. I also know that the evoluzione is cheaper than the yoyodine. Any thoughts please.

NowIs,

I replaced my stock slave with a Yoyo and love the difference in the pull and not having to worry about leakage issues. I'm going to guess that you'll have arguments for either but, both are good products.

If you do a search you'll turn up several threads already talking about this and hopefully that will help you decide which is best for you....

Cheers -

I went with the Evo. Put one on my Aprilia and loved it, so when I went to upgrade the Duc, I went to where I knew I would like. The Yoyo is just as good I'm sure.

Install is easy and bleeding takes 10 minutes. No more black fluid and it looks trick to boot!

If you go Evo, you can get it here for 146.00 + shipping

I've voiced my opinion on this topic in the past, but here we go..... I have owned both models, the EVO and Yoyo. In my opinion the Yoyo is much better. Solid, one piece unit as opposed to the multi-piece EVO unit, much more compact (same size as the stock unit) and much better seal. My

I have the Evoluzione and ever since I had it there hasn't been a problem with leaks since. The clutch pull/distance felt great too. I'm sure either way you go will not lead you wrong.

But the path of buying and installing the Evoluzione was much cheaper for me.

Mark another for the Yoyo slave. Got it on both of my Ducs.

The Yoyo is not that much more expensive. Chris at http://www.ca-cycleworks.com has the best deal on them.

I have Yoyodyne unit on my 748, and it is very well made. But I purchased a Norton SP unit for my SS and prefer it. It is more compact [larger bore, shorter length] than any other units I have seen, and the machine work is awesome. I feel the clutch pull is even slightly more reduced than the Yoyo. It is available from
http://www.ducati-shed.com Although located in Germany, Kelvin is a straight-up guy. I paypaled him the money [129 Euro= $163.83, todays exchange rate,] and had the unit in a week. Another possible benefit, is that it comes in four different anodized colors.
He has a few other interesting items on his site for Ducs and MV's, I would suggest checking it out.
