Default Rolled on the throttle deep in 6th gear and...

It sputtered. Like it wasnt getting enough gas. I had to back off, and then it recovered. This has happened before, is it asking for a tune-up?
It's an '04 800SS...

It might be asking for a FUEL filter...or there is a fuel delivery problem (unlikely)

Second thoughts:

If you were DEEP in sixth gear as in LOW like below 3-4k on the tach. Then you were just bogging down the engine. Try shifting to 6th from a higher RPM range like 5k and up.

Deep as in what rpm? I know it may be a dumb suggestion, but....rev limiter?

Ok, the word "deep" left some confusion... what I meant was I up around 125mph, in 6th gear. It didn't seem to be a rev limiter, rpms might have been at 7k or so. It really felt to me like it was not getting enough fuel. I guess a fuel filter is possible. It's in for 12000 mile service, so I guess I can find out more from the shop. Thanks!
