Default Michelin Pilots

Anybody try the new Micheling Pilot Sport or Pilot Power.

Looks like great prices on Ebay, but the Rear would have to be 180.

Any luck with 180 on a 99 on 900?

Scott

i am running pilot powers on a 2002 900, i also use the 180. i have tried the 170 but run the tire all the way to the edge and set the bike up around the slower steering 180. i do like the shape of the tires, but only have 300 miles on them so far.

I have the 180 Powers on the rear of my SS. They are greeeeat! I justed used them at Pocono East this past weekend for two days. Nice turn in and they stick like glue. Give them a try.

Any estimates on what you get for mileage out of the rear?

I run the Pilot Sport up front on my 944 and the Pilot Road (used to be called Macadams) in the back. It's a great all round seup if your riding is like mine, more inclined towards sport touring. Great rain combo too. They seem to wear out at the same time, about 6K miles. Definitely a nicer setup than the Dunlops.

DO N O T BUY THE MICHELIN SPORTS THEY ARE MAJORLY POOR WITH ZERO FEEDBACK.

Power pilots are far better with good mileage, good all weather and grippy

i put pilot powers on my 2002 900ss 1000 miles ago and did a track day on them. in a word? incredible. i went with a 120/65 front and 180/55 rear. no fitment issues, no problems, nothing.
one word of advise, they (pilot powers) need higher pressues; ie., 35 f and 36 r psi.

Great info guys, I am not concerned with wear, but do want sticky, so it is the Powers for me. Local dealer wants big $$ MAWS is reasonable but now I have to find someone to install the tires, they all want to install their own, trying to keep from buying outside.
