Are the 94 900ss front calipers same as 2001 750ss?

I have the 2001 750 sport and I want to do a dual front brake setup. I can aquire the front brake calipers off of the 94 900ss. They look very much alike but I dont know if theywould fit. Can anyone help?

The caliper mount spacings are probably different. Most of the early bikes had 40mm bolt spacing, later models have 65mm.
