Default Cruse control?

Interesting thing happened to me on the way to Moto Primo today. I seem to have acquired cruse control. Right hand free to do what it wants any ideas if it's the cable or a spring or anything?

Is your Fast Idle stuck? Also, check the cable where it is wire tied below your triple. Mine would kink when I turned the bars to the right and cause a faster rpm. Took off the wire tie and haven't had any more problems.

it just stays wherever I have the throttle at, it doesn't rev up at all. turn the handle and thats where it stays.

Follow your cable and you will see the spring that either came off, or is broken. (By right air deflector above oil fill hole.)

There's a pivot thing that springs back if throttle is closed, but if its open, it doesn't move.

Are you talking about this spring???

Try and see if that spring is okay or not. There is one other smaller (VERY small) spring in the area, check that one while you are in the area. If everything is cool down there, then it is your cable, or inside the throttle housing.

Me thinks it is either in the cable or the housing. Not really too much that can go wrong in the throttle dept. Keep us posted on what the problem was.

O.K. I feel dumb, I was planning on checking it from the start, but hadn't gotten around to it till today. It was my CRG bar end mirror, must have been in too far and messed w/ something, I just loosened it pulled it out about a 1/16th and no more cruse control. Thanx for the help, K.I.S.S. I guess.

I was going to ask you to check the grip, but I figured it was too easy.
Glad you got it sorted out without spending a ton of $$. Then you would have felt REALLY stupid.
