Default FCR needle access

I forgot how to access the needle in my 41's. I need to drop the needle one notch, at least. I opened the tops and drew a blank. (KRAFT).
I checked CK's fcr page as well.

Do you see a hex screw in there? Needle's under that.

I saw the hex screw and went 2 out of 3 rounds with it before I gave up. I removed the uni-pods and looked in the bore while pulling the slides up. Wiggled the needle and could tell that it came up thru that hole where the allen goes.
BUT it was sooooo tight, and I've recenty learned an expensive lesson on brute force.
I'll try again. The needles were raised after some engine mods. Perhaps theres some locktite blue in there?

Thank you Random Guy,

No loktite. There's a taper on the bottom of the needle that locks it. Get that hex screw loose and then it will come right out.

Hey,
I know youse Guys!! And Gals !! Needles both removed and inspected. They were not raised a notch after all. Richness must reside in other areas.

While I had my nose to the Carbs, I noticed a plastic "T" tube toward the top front of the the two intakes. This fitting was able to be turned in place (rotated) and the "T" could be angled thru that rotation. ANYWAY, does any type of tube attach to that "T"?
Breather,vent,or otherwise?
