Default Cold starting issues 1000ss

'03 1000ssds. Started having trouble cold starting the bike at the end of the riding season last year. The bike was all stock at that point and I would typically ride once a week. It would turn over and turn over but just would't fire. It eventually did start after letting it sit for about a half hour. No problems at all with hot or warm starts.
Over the winter installed the DP open air box with K&N air filter and carbon fiber slipons and some NGK spark plugs. A little trouble cold starting at the first of the year, but it did fire the second or third try and I rode home from where I store it and it ran fine. Smooth as silk.
Next weekend, nothing. It would turn over but not fire at all.
I took it to the dealer to have them get it running, adjust the stock ecu for the aftermarket parts I installed and install a yoyo clutch slave. It started at the dealer and I trailered it home. It started at home also no problem. That same weekend, I pulled off the canister filter and hoses per a site I was directed to and took it for a test ride. No problem.
Now today, after sitting for a week, same thing. Cold start, it just turns over but will not fire at all.
I will take it back to the dealer this week of course, but does anybody have any ideas. Thanks

There is a Ducati dealer in Illinois? Anyway I dont know if I can help you with your problem. All I can suggest is buying better plugs because the stock Champions are pretty crappy. And maybe you can adjust your choke screw? Because thats what it is really, a damn screw pushing the throttle open a little more.
