Help needed...

I need to remove the left side engine cover, but it seems the kickstand mount is in the way. What type of bolts hold it on? It looks like a torx head, but if it is I can't figure out what size. Oh, this is on a '95 900SS. TIA.

Are you sure it's not just a 6mm allen?

That is what I thought it was. But the 6mm goes in just enough to start spinning and strip out the bolt, like it is slightly too small.

some people grind the head off the bolt to make it non-auto retracting sidestand, you can easily remove the two bolts that hold on the whole side stand bracket. they are on either side of the sidestand.
