Default 2V stand review

Hi,

I posted a while back about a website I created to chronicle the progress of a badly abused Supersport I purchased. Well, I have the bike completely torn down and am in the process of repairing and upgrading stuff in order to put it all back together. My most recent post is about the lift/stand I used. I can't say enough good things about this product. Please check out the site to read my review. I don't work for these guys and have no personal interest in their success - I just want to pass along a product that I really like.

I automatically distrust any means of lifting a bike that stresses headers or clinders by using them as lifting points. I've seem "certified mechanics" lift a bike by clamping the front tire on a handy lift and using a car jack on the header to lift the rear. The stand you show is placing ar leat 50% of the weight on the front cylinder where the two rods to keep the fairing in place go.
Don't think so.... Not my bikes....
Call me anal but I just don't think the four cylinder studs are meant to support such a load. And I know they are working almost perpendicular to the load, but still ain't right...

I think that stand is way too expensive but I have to disagree about the mounting points. Ducati makes a stand similar to this that uses the same mounting points because they designed those mounting points for use with a stand like this. The stand does not touch the headers so it does not load them.

If Ducati makes a stand to be used in that manner, I stand corrected then. I just assumend the boses on the cylinder were only for the studs to keep the fairing from flapping around. Still, holding half a bike from four cylinder studs that were once prone to snapping..... doesn't seem wise to me....
how much is the "mojo" stand anyway?
I like the cyclecat method better anyway...Anybody knows if it's back in production yet?
