Default Fork Tech

Hey guys, When a tech changed my tire he put the front axle on and tightened the pinch bolts while the bike was locked on the stand. On my BMW you were supposed to bounce the bike on the shocks before you tightened the axle. How is a 900 SS Showa suppose to be done?

Basically the same as your BMW. "Big picture" it isn't the end of the world. Ideally, you'd also use a steering stem stand and would ensure that the axle would freely pass through the forks without the wheel or anything to ensure that the fork heights were correct. Most forks are not the same length, so one will be a littel bit higher in the triple clamps so that they will be the same free length at the axle.
