02 supersport engine upgrade?

Has anyone succeeded in replacing the 900ss i.e. engine with a 4 valve 916 etc etc watercooled lump? any pictures and advice please

It would be a very tight fit... I doubt there would be enough clearance in the front wheel and the frame would have to be modified to accept the engine. Just buy a superbike.

the frame around the rear head is too narrow and too low to fit a 4v.

What Brad said, it won't fit. You could make a Supermono if you lob off the top cylinder though.
