Default Bad front axle bearing, need help on how to remove it.

Last night on my way home I felt a vibration in the front end and when checked it, found lots of play in the front axle. Got the axle out at home and the right side bearing went really bad, it has about 1/16" play inside.
How is this bearing removed ? I don`t have a Duc shop in the area, so I will try to fix it myself. I will order it ASAP. Any advise.
Anticipated thanks !

If you look at the spacer between the bearings there should be a small notch on one end. You can use a drift/chisel/etc. to get on the inside of the bearing and drive it out of the wheel. Once one bearing is out, the spacer will fall out, and getting the other bearing out is easy.

Make sure and take out the speedo drive plate and the little ring that retains it before driving the left side bearing out (only applicable if your speedo is driven off the front wheel not the rear wheel).

The bearings are standard double-sealed type that should be available pretty cheap from any bearing shop... I paid about $7/bearing when I replaced mine.

jpuck91, Got the bike fixed very easily thanks to your help. Our local bearing shop had a similar bearing which fits. It`s a KYK 6005 2RS C3 SR12.
Thanks a lot again. " My hat off to you."

As a side note... if the spacer "washers" get bent, dont worry about it. I pounded all of my bearings out, and some of the spacer bits looked to be bent. When I called up BCM, they said not to worry.

They also got me the bearings pretty cheaply, and quickly. Its good to know that the bearings used are generic sealed bearings that you can pick up at any bearing place. The "Ducati OEM" ones are no different. That is, other than the stupidly high price.
