Default Mirrors?

Anyone had a chance to see if the aftermarket Carbon Fiber mirrors for the SBK will fit and angle correctly on the SS upper fairings? Possibly with some spacer fabrication?
I have been looking at these:

Recently there was an outfit selling lots of cf pieces on ebay. The pics looked great but it turned out to be pretty low quality stuff. All of a sudden they disappeared from ebay and came back with a different name. Don't know if this is the same outfit but you might want to check around before shelling out that kinda dough.

Thanks for the heads up. Too bad ebay can be so hit or miss.
Anyways, I guess the real question is if the SBK mirrors can be fitted and angled correctly with or without some modified shims. SS aftermarket mirrors are few and far between, most being quite fugly.

I had a set of the LP Chicane carbon mirrors on my bike until I crashed earlier this year. They looked pretty nice, but were kinda a PITA because they wouldn't hold adjustment all that well... ok at low speed but get above 80-90 and the mirrors would fold right back. Got to be an almost running joke w/ some of the guys I've ridden w/.
I have CRG bar-end mirrors on now... they're pricey but work awesome and look great.
As far as Dixo-CF, there's a whole thread on here somewhere about how crappy their customer service is, and their product definitely seems to be hit and miss. I got a sprocket cover that seems to be ok, but took almost a month to get here, and I had to email them about 25 times to get that. Other people have had much worse experience w/ them, run a search for that thread and check it out.

Hey you guys,

I have the el-cheapo bar end mirrors, called Third Eye (for bicycles). They look fine (real glass) and work well until about 80 or so when they get a little fuzzy. Cost was less than $25 shipped. Works for me. ($350 for f'n mirrors? I think not

I'll second the third eye bar ends. Inexpensive, good quality, and work well. If you bust one, they are only like $15.00 on the high end at your local bike shop. You can really see very well. The mirrors are slightly convex so looking in the right mirror, you can see behind you and toward you left same for the right side. Like having eyes in back of your head!!! They look good too, as in you really don't notice them. Cleans up the bike nicely.

Thanks for the replies so far.
Not really into the barend mirrors. I don't know what it is about them, but I really don't like em much.

I guess nobody has tried to fit the SBK mirrors on an SS? I guess I will have ti be the first and get some on order. Will post my findings on fit, finish, and what I needed to do to make them work. (Don't think i will order the ones on ebay)

Don't know anyone who's tried, but just looking at them I would think they wouldn't fit. Assuming you have a 99+ SS, the mirror mount is a small raised oval shape. The SBK mirrors look to have a flat more rectangle shaped mount. Good luck though, I hope it works because it would look sweet! Post some pics when you're done.

I hear ya on the bar ends... I didn't like them much myself until I gave them a try and saw how well they actually worked and looked on the bike. That's part of the reason I went with the inexpensive mountain bike mirrors first. Now that they're on and I've tried them, I'll probably go with a set of CRGs after I get a few higher priority things taken care of.
