I took a look through a bunch of bike mags I had laying around and none of the new superbikes have a very long rear hugger if they have one at all. Some is better than none but I am guessing (I just trimmed my hugger and haven't ridden with it yet) the downsides are minimal. The Multistrada and 999 don't even have a hugger stock!

Here is a pic of mine loosely installed in case I hear back from some of the CF guys looking for a mold...

I heated the trailing edge and bent it up gently for a bit of detail:

Ok everyone, I finally heard back from someone who is interested in making these in Carbon Fiber. http://www.Valenceusa.com said they could make them. Can I get a reply to see how many people are interested? I know a lot will depend on price, but I asked that question and a reply is pending. I will post it here as soon as I find out.

Take a good look at what I have for a fender. If the general consensus likes the look (short with raised lip) I will use mine as an example, otherwise I will need another fender sent in for the mold to be made.

Ok...can I get a show of hands?!?!?!?

Are these exclusively for 99+ or can they be modified to fit 91 - 98?
I will vote YES if they can fit a 96 SS with slight tweaking.

I am pretty sure the dimensions for the 900SS huggers were the same from 1992 through 2001. In 2002 they went to a beefier swingarm, but I am looking into having that one made too.

You might want to start a new thread on this topic. Since this one is so old, some people probably don't check it as often as they used to...

I think Jessica would probably like a carbon hugger on her '04 800, but it has the plain old steel swingarm. Would this use the same piece as the early 90's Supersports? Or something altogether different?
