Default What wheels fit the 1000ds?

I'm looking for a set of rims for rains.

What other rims fit the supersport 1000ds?

I was thinking Monster rims might fit?

Not exactly accurate.

The SS has been injected since 1999 and had the 17mm rear axle until 2001. 2002 and forward SS models had the 25mm front and rear axles. NOT all Monsters had the 17mm rear either. The Monsters up to 2001 had a 17mm rear axle and the 2001 S4 and 2002+ Monsters had the same axle sizes as the SS. ST always had the 25mm front and rear axles as far as I know. I have no FHE experience with this bit but I think I remember hearing about a different rear hub width between models.

hmmmmm.

a riding buddy of mine has an '04 DS Supersport, and we have swapped rear wheels, mine being a '99ssie. So i am not 100% sure about the chage to a rear 25mm on the SSie.

As for the rest, as far as i was aware the ST/Monster/SS wheels have always been more or less the same.

BTW, the hub width difference is the Sprocket carrier, on the SSie's at least. Having done a 750-900 conversion with a friend, along with a matching Ally swing arm. It would have been cheaper to sell his bike and just buy a 900 by the time we were done. you live and learn!

Well... I found a set of 3 spoke Brembo Monster wheels, 17mm rear axle and 25mm front. Now to find the carrier & spacers...
