This winter's upgrades will include:
Pistal hi-compression pistons;
balanced/lightened/polished & knife edged crank by Fox Performance;
749 transmission lightened by Nichols;
lightened rear rotor by Alex Ortner;
custom wire harness with keyless - toggle switch ignition;
billet aluminum custom 27 mm offset triple clamps.
944, Keihins, VeeTwo cams, ti valves, light clutch & flywheel, mag/carbon wheels 916 forks, Ohlins rear shock, 916 tail, one off 916/cr fairing. Lot's more than I can't remember.
Hey George, for character, I want to see the pics of the motor with the blown piston hanging out of it.
btw: congrats on the white plates. best part is, you don't even have to paint them on...you just get to peel off that yellow tape you covered them with
Bike looks great, can't wait to see you with it.

First - at rest in the pits (before I changed the numbers).
Next - at war on the track (Autobahn Race Track in Joliet, IL).

OK....got to this one a bit late and after seeing bruntr and alex in the running I was gonna pass. But if they are out....especially alex (come on...gimme a break), I'll send my pics. For the enjoyment of you guys, and especially cos I found this bike on this board last January, I offer this 1998 900SS/SP FE, #339. I've tried to keep it reasonably stock because it's beautiful as born, but blinged it up some...to include Keihn flatslides, blinged out clutch cover and pressure plate and retainers, ncrick front forks, and anything else I think Ducati would have done had our EPA been on the blink. Pics show some bling that I did and another of my bike posted to this forum when I found it before I bought it. It was living in San Fran at the time....the original owner now in France. So I'm adding in the history angle. Hope you like it.

I stopped short after Bruntr posted his but here goes.
Behold # 382 from the Great White North.
In these photo's all the new stuff isn't mounted but here's what she's got
Ohlins rear, 41's, tinted screen (stock shape), braided lines with a cool carbon covering, Carbon Tech (we think) slip on's, Barnett clutch, Evo slave, SS bolt kit, Sargent seat, Race Tech valves and springs.
Guys first off thanks for all the compliments on my bike..... but I have to say everyone of the pictures I've seen so far look great! These old SS bikes are all lookers and a plain stock well cared for bike can look just a nice as a full blown one-off custom IMHO I think the trophy should go to Ducati for giving us such a timeless clasic!

George ... seriously, ... if there was ever a person that shouldn't enter their bike in a contest that judge's the esthetic qualities of a bike ... its you buddy. Don't make me tell stories or reveal secrets.
First off I had no idea the volume of participation this would draw, thanks for all the pics. The SS is indeed a timeless classic. I would send the trophy to Ducati but they would have no idea why..
So the voting goes like this.
PM me with just the username of the bike you would like to vote for..
No need for the description. I will tally the votes Monday morning and announce the winner along with the vote counts.
But here's the twist.
I also did this thread on the DML which I'm sure a lot of you are members. Before you vote please look there too. Those guys submitted some nice bikes as well.
So when you vote, give username and which board it's from, Speedzilla or the DML.
If you are a member of both boards please don't vote on both. It wouldn't be fair. Lets try to keep it fair as possible.
Thanks again and may the best bike win...

Max - if it looks OK from 50 feet away at 50 mph its OK! I think you are still bitter that I passed you like you were standing still while I was on my ugly POS 16 year old motorcycle?
I'm going to try to keep the Ducati looking better than my Honda's. Actually I figured I should enter now since the bike is still new to me and I hadn't had a chance to destroy it yet.
