We ran 120/70 & 180/55 Michelin Pilot Race combo on our '05 Supersport (93 rwhp) and won Lightweight Superbike GNF 4-hour endurance at Road Atlanta 3 months ago. PR5 compound rear, PRC up front. 97 laps on one set. Little slower turn-in, but can get hard on the throttle early after apexing for a good drive that the SV650's could not replicate.

Question

Yeah, but it's so hard to get a good look at your back tire when you're riding.

I tried rigging up a video camera to get a good look of my back tire, but it's still hard to see the screen when you're in traffic.

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

Try a Dunlop Qualifier for street, or a 208GPA for track (the UK ones).

Big difference b/t street tires that are ok for track days (Pilot Powers) and race tires (Pilot Race). To my knowledge, there are no race tires made in 170, a good selection in 160/65 and the best selection in 180. If street tires are all you want, selection will matter less.
