Default Coring SS Cans?

This is as close as I can get to SS cans. I did a set of Monster cans a few years back and it was a breeze. This seems a bit more complicated.

Anyone have 1st hand experience or a better link for coring SS cans specifically?

Thanks

I tried with an old muffler from my 99, and it was damn near impossible. Very difficult to get the sleeve off the muffler without damaging it. I wouldn't do it, but maybe its easier on a newer muffler.

Here is the link I used when I did my ss. http://home.earthlink.net/~desmoduck...r_modpics.html

The results were nice, but removing the sleeves is a PITA, Forget about hitting it with a block of wood its not going to happen unless your very lucky. I have done 3 sets now, I find its best to use a airhammer to seperate the sleeve from the pipe going at and downward angle were the sleeve sits on the pipe. Use the airhammer on the pipe if that makes sense I only buggered up 1 out of six pipes doing it this way. Could not tell once it was reassembled nor did it leaked...

Good luck

Did mine last month, used the link above. The covers do come off hard. What I did was turned it upside down and held onto the cover and pounded it on a 4x4 piece of hard wood. No damage. Once it starts to come off it slides right out. Sound nice. Loud but not near the db level of the harley death noise.
