Default Please HELP with Clutch !!!!!!

I am trying to fit this pressure plate I bought, but while taking off the original plate I saw that it's got like a "pole" (don't know how to call it) attached to it I am not able to take it off.

It’s attached to the baring. Please guide me what to do.

That pole is the clutch pushrod and it will come out of there with some fiddling. It's just pressed in there. The little fitting that it's seated in will also come out of the pressure plate bearing with some tapping. It's no big deal, so don't worry.

I couldn't sleep, so hopefully my answer makes some sense this early in the morning. Hopefully the warm milk kicks in soon!

Good luck,

Jeff

Also, remember to line up the notch on the back of the pressure plate with the notch on the part the springs screw into.

As others have mentioned, it's the pushrod. One thing to keep an eye on is the roller bearing right inside the case there where this rod "rides". Look at corresponding spot on the rod and see if there is a worn spot. If this gets worn, there will be a sharp edge that can cut the rubber seal and make your dry clutch "wet"

I just went through all of this and ended up getting a new pushrod, bearing and seal and all is better now. Total cost wasn't bad at around $55.
