Default 1995 Supersport 900 ss/sp My freshly modified SS, Pictures included!

Some of you know me, and know that I have been building a trailer queen 1995 Supersport 900 ss/sp lately. Anyway, here are the details about my bike, and what I have modified and updated to bring the bike somewhat up to speed and increased drivability for the street. If anybody needs specific directions or pictures of the bike, just let me know and I can post them or send them to you. I wanted this to be an informational post, but I will just let the pictures do the talking.

I want to first thanks Stephano at Motowheels, Rick at Cogent Dynamics, and LT Snyder at Desmo Times for working with me on getting parts for my bike, and continued phone calls to solve any problems that I have had. Any Ducati owner should buy stuff from these folks soley based on the customer service that you will receive. You cannot put a price on that.

Love it!

The only thing I don't like on a lot of bikes is the big rear fender overhang. I have a sheet aluminum thing covering the sub frame and eliminating the rear fender plastics. I think it looks way cleaner. I also have a carbon hugger that I am cutting up and reshaping. Should look pretty cool when I am done. No matter what, your bike looks WAY better than my beater.<haha>

me <--original Glock17 before feed ramp mod and still rockin' (~15000 rounds)

Nice, really nice! How'd you manage to find new pipes for it? I'd heard finding stuff was difficult. Wish my '95 looked that clean, but she's got 26k miles. I gave her a good bath recently, but I think I need a couple of days for some very serious detailing. Runs great, though! I love that bike!

Very nice job! Bike looks beautiful!

(Constructive criticism here)...................
If you have a dremel with the buffing bit and the dremel polish, it will take the discoloration off of your Termi pipes at the welds.

I bet she rides nice with the new suspension set-up.

A couple of questions... In the pictures of your bike, it appears that you have the stock Showa shock mounted. Was it rebuilt with Penske internals? How much did the rebuild of your forks and shock cost? I know that my needs may be different, but I'm just looking to get an idea of cost. Also, your engine looks great. What was your cleaning process?

Your mufflers look to be at a strange angle are the brackets correct? They seem really long for high pipes...

nah.....your's is probably just too short.....but I bet you've heard that before.

Gawd I crack myself up.

Yes the brackets are correct. The exhaust system is Sil Motor and I have no idea why the angle differs from yours. Mine is consistant with some 4Vers I've been around and the FE pictured. Yours is consistant with others I've seen.

That's a very nice bike.

And a good observation on the pipes/angles. Now it looks like there are three distinct styles of pipe for the SSs. Low, high, and higher.

My high pipes seem to match Glockem's.

Good point, maybe it has to do with Slip-ons and full systems.

Very sanitary, nice work! That has got to be one of the best looking SS bikes I have seen.

Thank you for the kind words! It is our pleasure to do business with you and an honor to play even the smallest part in your beautiful project!
