Default Little Help, doing my first valve adjustment.

Hi

Ok I got a few questions as I am tackling my first adjustment. The bike is 1998 748, and I am doen with the whole tear down and have accurate measurements and all that jazz. My questions are this first how much wear constitutes a flaking rocker? all of my rockers have some visable wear but only one can I physically feel a bit of the chrome being off the others are little ugly but smooth to the touch. Secondly and more importantly during the process of taking off the closers I was not in the room(I'm having a friend give me hand with this who is in most circumstances more mechanically inclined then me) however i guess he missinterpreted what I ment by how they are taken off and was in rush to get something done so he attempted to take the lower rocker arm off it's spring to which he succeded how every in the process he tore what looks to be a small circle spring(i mean very tiny coiled) that rests around the orange object at the bottem of the visable valve which I believe is the Inlet Valve Seat. My question is can I just buy a replacement spring, if so what is the part number as bikebandit simply has valve seat itself as one unit, and also the seat apears to be fine would i have to replace the whole thing? If so is this simple slip on or would involve a harder process?

Thanks
Kevin
