Default clutch sensor

Took the switches of the left handlebar for track day tomorrow and wondering if it will still start without the clutch sensor as long as its in neutral or do I have to complete the circuit like on the kick stand??? 03 800ss, Thanks in advance

Man, I hate to be the one to say it, but... push the button and see what happens?

You'll be fine. You just lost the ability to start the bike in gear with the clutch pulled in. So if you stall, you have to shift into neutral and the hit the button. Atleast that is how it was when I installed the gp master on my monster. Then I added a pressure switch, since it was a street bike. But why did you remove the sensor for a trackday?

First off I am at work, working hard mind you and wanted to see so I could make sure I was set up right for the track day tomorrow. Ya, wicked anal when it comes to this stuff. I ditched the switches and anything else that I wouldn't need for racing. This will be a dedicated track/race bike and the less on it the better in case you know what. I'm getting that funny feeling in my stomach, 2 parts excitement, 1 part check your shorts. Headen to Loudon to work on corner speed.

Default yep

thanks Maypo, you're right, everything went fine at the track in spite of my paranoia. Had a killer day with no major incidents, 60º and partly cloudy. I wound up zip tying the choke cable to the frame and putting a key wring on the end of it to adjust for cold starts. If I can get my skinz mounted tomorrow I'm goin back up on Sunday.
