Default CycleCat Mounting System

Does anyone have any experience or advice on this? I read about some problems installing them a few months ago. I just got a 2005 supersport about a year ago and am now looking to make it a slightly more comfortable ride. Any suggestions?

I also wanted to say thanks to all the members here, this forum has been a great help in learning about my new prize. So far I have added Leo Vince CF slip ons, a sargent seat and the integrated turn signal mirrors offered by Dave. This is my first bike and I have been loving every day of riding. Thanks again......

You might want to consider these as an alternative....

no FHE, but I've heard some good things about them.

Cyclecats are awesome, couldn't ride without them. Got mine from Jason at Section8. Best money I've spent on the bike.

I've posted this before, but.....

I have those risers. Yes, they make the bike substantially more comfortable, but they also cause your hands to hit the mirrors in sharp turns at parking lot speeds. If someone got on your bike who wasn't expecting that, they could easily drop it.

I still use 'em, because I value the extra comfort enough to tolreate that defect in the setup. But just so you know.

I read this elsewhere, but, I notice that with the stock setup, my forearms already will touch the mirrors at low speed/full lock.. Maybe it has to do with how tall a person is. I have a riding buddy with the HeliBars on his '05 800SS, and he loves them, when he rode my SS he said he could really tell the difference in the way the bars felt..

I have the Eastern cycle bar risers and think they are money well spent. I put a lot of long distance miles on my 99 ss and couldn't live without them.
