Default frame sliders

I noticed a discussion on the superbike forum about frame sliders for track days or racing. Yay or Nay for the SS??

Same here. I run them on my SS racebike. They grind off very nicely on a long slide. I think they are a plus. Especially if you are running a wet clutch 750...the right case cover is a thin, fairly weak casting, and has no other protection [aside from welding reinforcement plate on it, which I also did.] I think for the 750's it's a must.

Make sure you have the right slider - one that breaks at a certain point of impact. Otherwise you'll end up cracking your frame or block. Better damage the plastic than frame or internal components.

Any opinions on SpeedyMoto's under-fairing sliders?

underfairing sliders don't make much sense to me........... aren't they suppose to be protecting the plastic????????
