Just under 30K on my 01 (bought new Aug 2001). It would have more miles, but the first three years of life I lived on an island about the size of the city I now call home! I shipped it to the mainland US with 10K on it, and in two years I have run up 19,700 trouble free miles. It just seems to keep running better and better and I am not sick of it yet!

Just turned 47,776 MILES yesterday. '99 750 SS, original clutch and front brakes (also gone), just replaced original rear brake pads this past winter. Now on third seal for clutch slave, just replaced the second seal during winter. Bike has been bulletpruff. Can't believe that I've suffered thru the miserable riding position for soooo long. If it was more comfortable I would have put more miles on it!
Update 4/19/06 49,118 miles Its running the best ever!!!!!

Somewhere around 75k. The speedo cable was broken for about 6 months, and I replaced the original speedo with a newer SS model that read low, but by my calculations, it's got over 75,000mi. on it.
Warranty replaced frame, big bore (784cc) motor, Keihins, suspension upgrades, etc. (It was stock until 44k)

I have just a bit north of 30K on my 99 900. Never even changed but one valve shim. about 12 sets of tires though, piece of junk!

Tell us the history of the bike please. Top or bottom end overhaul? Original tranny? Any other issues that are worth mentioning. This is BMW territory and I know only a few BMW guys who have miles like this.
Thanks for whatever detail about the life of the bike you can provide.

History
Well, let's see.... no overhaul or major repairs, yet. Lost count on how many sets of tires, many is all I can tell you. They don't seem to last long no matter which tires I try. The slave cylinder has leaked and had to be upgraded, the clutch has been replaced once, I run an open basket now because it is so lovingly noisy and annoying. The brake pads were replaced only once but I am due to replace pads and rotors soon. The engine is starting to leak a little oil at the seams. I have always run a full synthetic, I believe that makes a huge difference. My automobiles have all gone well over the life expected of them as well on synthetic, my current car, a Toyota Supra, has around 230,000 and is not even close to the record with me, as I have had several go well into the 300's. The engine on the Duc is starting to sound a little "loose" and I suspect an overhaul is in my future, but other than stone chips and a few bug marks, she shows like a much pampered, hardly ridden bike. I still think nothing of jumping on it and going across state to Daytona on a whim,in fact, I just did that a week ago! Going for a 200 mile ride tonight with some friends. I just can't seem to turn down an opportunity to ride! I love the bike and would buy another in a heartbeat if I ever needed to replace it. There is simply nothing else like it.

That is so cool! I love to see Ducatis with a ton of miles on them. I get tired of hearing riders of "other" brands saying how unreliable our Ducs are.

how many miles
28,197 on 96 900ss sp. Replaced only tires and battery and rear brake. Clutch slave seal original (suck brake fluid out of reservoir whenever it starts turning dark). Clutch has been taken apart and washed in WD40 two times. Regulator original (keep battery charged). All known weak items on Ducs, but a little preventive maintenance and you will have no problems. Two friends with 24k and 51k on theirs and same story.
