Default Trade Saddles - 1999-2006 (have corbin, want something else)

I've got a like-new black corbin saddle on my 01 ss (has the little itallian flag stiching on the side) and I want something else (I like the sargent saddle). The corbin is super nice but doesn't fit me so well. If you have similar problems with your saddle, maybe we can just swap. I'm in the DC area, can send photos if you've got something.

I've got the corbin as well, and love it. You might try using a rolling pin from the kitchen and breaking in the edges of the seat. I've even taken some material out of the edges on some seats to soften them up. Food for thought.

yeah that's an idea...I just have trouble hanging off b/c it's sort of squared on the edges. Great for superslab but less ideal for twisties. Plus it's heavier than the sargent.

Default Wish list...

I have only the stock seat but have a corbin on my wish list. I have put off buying one due to the cost. Are you thinking of making a fellow SS rider a great deal on yours?

you can try to take the stock seat and pan to a custom seat maker and have them make one for you. Can't imagine it would be much more expensive than Corbin.

FWIW - Sargent seat is similar in that it is more square in the front. I kept my stock seat for track days (and now I just need to get my arse up to Loudon). Rounder and a bit more slippery for sliding around on ... and if you happen to go down you don't b*tch up a nice seat. Also - you may want to try calling corbin for a little shaving. They'll likely do it like a pro at a reasonable price - I guess you wouldn't know until you asked.
