Default ducati red

Everywhere I look I find that the paint code for Ducati red is 473.101 ppg but my paint guy says his supplier has no such #. Is there another code or is his supplier on crack. Race season is a month away and I still need skinz. Help?

Most painters just run a spectrum scan of your pieces so they match it exactly. You could give Rob Nigl a call at Peach Pit Painting 603-731-8955.

That looks like a good number...I have a can of yellow in my hand and it's 473201 (drop the . between the numbers)
Have him try ICI Autocolor (div. of PPG) or call Keystone Automotive Supply. That's where I get my paint. BTW: make sure they use the correct tinted primer or you won't have a correct match.
Hope this helps,
'Lidz

Default 473.101 Nexa Pint

This code is for a pint of Ducati red
980/299.0
904/318.2
921/489.1
475/548.2

The numbers represents the different types of paint/amount used to create the Ducati red, therefore, the #s must be exact when given to the individual mixing the paint. If you need yellow I got the mixture # for a one quart To paint a whole bike, all you need is a pint

What do these #s represent. Is 473.101 for PPG or Nexa? those other #s what do they represent?
