LG
The vendors reserve on e-bay was $12.900.00 I called the guy and after two weeks of back and forth i offered $8000. even. they said ok. Yeah it has some neat extras like the seat (poor fit though) the steering damper (although i've been told this bike does not benefit from this) and the underseat adapter with new licence plate bracket. Some other extras were the LP bar ends and signal lights and some extra stickers (some of which are coming off). and of course the previously mentioned 190 mich. tire. (also coming off). Which one did you buy, the one from the carolina's?

CaliDuc ...those flushmounts are sweet, how noticable are they?

Steering damper DOES help. Bought mine after my first tank slapper. Haven't had a problem since.

I guess the flushmounts are pretty noticable......................you noticed them didn't ya? Actually from the front they are close to non-existant, but I have the signal mirrors so it's not a problem.

Picked up my plastics yest. look great. spent this aft cleaning everything up and re-installing them. Color matched perfectly, buddy did a great job. Had the paint guy from sherwin williams (sp?) zapp it with the paint gun. Took a blowdryer and removed some of the unwanted stickers from the bike. Just waiting for the mirror and the Ducati logo to show up at my local (loco) dealer. It was so disapointing picking it up damaged, now i feel the pride factor coming back. this week i am gonna bring her to my buddy for a once over and then home for a detailing and waxing (the bike not me). Still won't be ridin her till late may as i continue to rehab my arm but feelin good......

Boom Boom, I also live in Hamilton and interested in your passenger pegs and brackets. Are you interested in parting with them?

Tim

Default Crash Testing MY Bike

Hey,
Sorry about your crashing. I know how you feel because I get the stupid rider award for crashing twice over a weekend.

First was going on a date night with my wife. I was about to miss a sharp right hand turn so I did 80% front brake and then flicked. Front wheel went out and down I went. I was rewarded with a scraped right side and two cracked ribs. The date night was fine.

Taking the bike to the shop on Monday morning you can be sure that I was riding very conservatively. I approched the guard station cautiously where we live because it was wet out and there is a speed bump right before the up-down gate. As I go over the speed bump the guard starts to close the gate. I apply reasonable front brake and down I go on the left side. It was better than face on gate.

Why am I telling you this? Because I don't want you to feel too bad for crashing. And because I got the body work done and it cost about $600 for both sides. I thought about getting new plastic but it's not worth it. If you get the paint done well then with some decals it's good enough.

After all, someone as bad as me will dump it again.

All in all, it's been a good year with 6,000 miles on the bike (daily commuter).

Have fun on your new ride!

AndreasMet...? what a total loser Just kidding man that is really unfortunate...twice in one weekend!!!!!!! Ouch talk about demoralizing at least drop it twice on the same side,(what tires do you have on yours, I find mich pilots sippery when wet) but i can still top that... in 92' i slipped and fell in our local Hospital Parking lot and shattered my left leg. They had to plate and screw it together and as such no cast was put on (external fixation) this was great...a week after, my wife was helping me into the tub/shower when i slipped and fell breaking two ribs. because of the pain i couldn't even get around on crutches. Instead of Boom Boom i should call myself Spaz Spaz....
