To anyone who has these mirrors- Do you feel it's safe to remove the OEM turn signals and use only the turn signals in the mirrors? ie are they large enough to be seen by others? Thanks.

Can't remember whose bike (CaliDuc maybe?, old board thread), but they had documented adding a set of BMW marker lights onto the fairing to cover the holes and be auxilary signals. I've been running with just the mirrors for a few weeks, without problems so far, but I'm going to add lights on the fairing as well, just for added piece of mind. And to cover those holes!

Yep it was me. Here are a couple of pics.

I don't think it is necessary to run the side lights personally. I don't do alot of night riding, plus I am one of the most defensive riders I know of.
I will say that the mirror signals could be a bit brighter though. I have recently obtained some industrial 3M reflective tape and put it behind the bulbs in the mirrors, as oncoming traffic will see me better, and it seems to reflect the light to where it fills more of the lense, giving it an effect that it is brighter.
