Question Windscreens

Anyone have any experience with a different windscreen on their SS? I would really like to get something that offers a little more wind protection, but would like to hear if anyone has any input about the double bubbles vs. the sport touring (or tall). Also, any good suggestion on dealers? Seems to be a little difficult to find someone who has these for the '99 900's. Thanks!

Default screens

I've had excellent results using Zero Gravity's Double Bubble and Touring "Daytona" windscreen on my 98' 900CR. I'm 6'1" and ride with Heli bars, so I ended up sticking with the taller screen just to get the extra bit of protection. The DB worked well and also looked a lot better. I'll probably swap back to the DB one of these days. I think you'll enjoy either screen, but aesthetically, the double bubble looks a lot better. Enjoy!

Regards,

Jeff

I run the Zero Gravity touring screen on my '01 SS. I think it looks almost stock, but does provide better wind protection. Checkout www.kneedraggers.com . That is where i got mine.

I've had a smoke-tinted double bubble on my bike for a while now. It's a nice improvement over stock as far as wind protection goes. Looks nice too!

I have a LaminarLip on my 900sp. It's very good at deflecting just enough wind to make long rides more comfy. Takes the pressure off my helmet and neck (I'm 5'8").

It's very easy to take off for track days as well. Excellent quality, cost was about $70us.

I have the tinted MRA Touring shield on my 750SS, works good but don't have the original to base a comparison on so I can't say better or worse than stock. (PO installed)

OK, next question... Has anyone dealt with indysuperbike.com? I'm thinking of doing the ZG double bubble, and they are one of the few dealers online for this model (for my MY).

Any ideas on a windscreen for an '04 1000SS. Not sure if the late model 900's will fit. Anyone have ideas?

Zero Gravity's site
Compare part numbers on the chart. I think the 1000's use the same screen as the 620/750/800/900's.
