Default EVR Ducati 999 Carbon Fiber Ram Air Intake Systems

Has anyone tried one of these awesome EVR Ducati 999 749 Carbon Fiber Ram Air Intake Systems on their bikes?
A product review would be great too.

They’re expensive and look amazing, but do they really offer much in performance from the factory system?

Thanks
FJ

My understanding is that the guy behind EVR is very clever when it comes to making "racing" parts that look good and he's equally talented when marketing said parts but few if any buyers can prove any substantial increase in engine power after installing EVR parts.

What Sten said.

My friend has it on his built 999S. Before and after dyno was 1hp difference. Could have been everything else affecting the dyno reading, so no gain at all just by putting in the airbox.

Too expensive and too little to gain.

Would there be any "ram air" horsepower increase. Might be interesting to dyno again with a couple of high power fans blowing into the tubes>
Just a guess!!!

For the guys who are crazy about weight and looks.

Looks great though.

I don't have that. I just have the larger CF air runners. They're significantly lighter than the stock ones and for me, they are definitely better looking.

Yeah I've got the carbon air runners too from an RS. They are sweet. Someone on Ducati.ms was going to have EVR-copied airboxes made up much cheaper with (he claimed) same quality but I don't know what ever happened to that. I would love to put this on my bike, it's on my bucket list, but it's hard to justify that much coin for so little gain. Looks sweet though.
