Default Rear Hub Heat Question

I have a stupid/paranoid question. I just rebuilt the rear hub on my 998 I.E. new bearings and seals. I ride the bike today and everything seems right I.E. no play, all torque settings are by the book, and the wheel spins freely. What is odd is that the rear hub gets pretty warm after a 30 min ride. Most of the heat is on the sprocket side. I'm sure that this is completely normal but i just wanted to check to make sure. If anyone rides their bike the next few days, can you feel your rear hub and tell me how hot it is?

Thnx in advance!

Did you ever touch a chain immediately after a ride - it gets pretty toasty. That heat transfers to the sprocket as well.
