I've used the Afr tuner for 1 year now
(individual cylinder mapping).

Used on my 996bip engine and my 853R.

If you cant set temp etc, Selfmapping is turned off, enable it and you can select/change the paramterers. the temperature for selfmappig has to be sett lower than the ducati reading temp cose the temperatures do not correspond. (motty temp- ducat tempgauge) Motty is sett from 45deg c to 95 deg).

I've tested a lot of different firmware from Tamas, to get the auto to kick inn.

When you check your logs inn "log view" check when autotune kicks inn, to se if the autotuning is actually working.

The different frimware allows for a little more or less variance variance in the TPS and RPM so the autotune can work... (One of the contains VTR in the firmware name).

One note, in that the base configurator software and firmware only allows for up to 13 % fuel offsett between the cylinders. (Depending on what chip you are running as a base), (that is why TOMTOM is going to make a chip with the same fuel map on both cylinders so i Can se what is going on).

Always remember that the offsett fuel map is a offsett map...
the added fuel in the for the rear cylinder is = Frontcylinder + Offsett value. (if you are goint to do some manual tunning).

The offsett map is +- 40 (13 % more/less fuel) so if these numbers turn up in your offsett map
then the afr tuner will not add or substract fuel beond these limits.

(I have a unofficial firmware that allows up to -+115 and configurator software that allows for more tuning)

AFRTuner.ICSM-2C.VTR.3-v2.43.1-115_offset.zip (216k)
I used different firmware on the 996 engine and the 853.
more variance in the TPS from the 853.

Came back from a tripp to Germany yesterdag, will check the loggs/fuelmaps later this day (have AFR readings in my AIM dash so I can check the selfune when I' riding). And the Afr works like a charm

Germany is probably the only place you can do road mapping on the bike,
5-6 gear puls is not possible to on a normal road (I use 16-39 gearing).
on 3-4 gear on the dyno the motty was not fast enought to calculate/adjust the fuel.

Clear the lc-1 (clear all settings) or just do a free air calibrations.
(If i remeber a total reset of the LC-1 is done by disconecting the lambda an turning on power.

Free air calibration can be done using a micro switch (and diode) if it connected as described in the LC-1 manual(or by using the configuration software). I.have drawn the LC-1 status diode to the instument cluster so I can see what is going on. (if it shows fault status, is will reset if you trun the igniton off).
Download the manual for 2 cylider setup from Motty AFR Tuner.
Download the manual and software from the invation motosports (lc-1).

I gather you have the porgraming cabels for the LC-1 ?
( the lc1 comes with a db9 to minijack com cable and a minijack "loopback" adapter witch is used to get online on the LC-1)

The setting for the LC-1, so can work with the afr-tuner is in the afr 2 cylinder manual. There are some formulas you have to use to get the right output from the lc-1 to the afr tuner.

I gather you are not running stock gearing (contact motty at afr tuner to get the parametes to use for your setup.

Have the paramenters for 996 bip running 15-39 and for a 748 running 16-39.

The temperature i gather is off in the afr tuner if you compare it to the stock instumet cluster. Not to worry I just sett my autotune between 40 - 95 deg c in the afr tuner.

Use the loggs to se if the bike is doing the auto tune, the RPM or TPS graphs in the afr loggviewer i "jagged" and the autotune is not working you will need a new frimware.
