Default digital dashs

so, i almost have enough spare parts laying around to build another motorcycle, but one of the things i don't have is an instrument cluster. I've seen some digital units out there, like the Translogic MD2 Motorcycle Race gauge replacement gauges: Micro Dash 2

Does anyone know of any other digital units out there that will work with ducs?

Maybe thatīs good for a start.

The Translogic is way cheaper.
Mychron costs like 400-600 Euros and the Transogic is somewhat 250 pounds iirc?!

Also the Kart thing doesnīt have the versatility. Because if you buy the Mychron, you of course want the sensors for suspension travel, donīt you!

Don't know if anyone has looked at translogic's site lately, but they list an IR laptimer now with the dash setup....pretty trick with a transmitter included...

Also, does anyone know if you can use any of the Mychron setups with a bike or does it have to be the moto version?

Koso RX1N and RX2N are really good gauges.
For information, BIMOTA puts Koso gauges on the DB7.
Koso build R1 and R6 OEM gauges too.

With a Koso, you can't go wrong (unleast you try to put it on a Honda....for an undefined reason the tach will not work on cbr, Hornet, 929, Interceptor/VFR etc...).

No lap timers though

Anything would work, it's a matter of ingenuity.

Most speedos use a magnet sensor, check their instructions to see. Tachs are usually fed off of the ECU or the Spark Plug leads.

Yeah, i just don't know anything about installing a unit like that, my mechanic buddy is doing the work, i'm just sourcing the parts. The new S4RS swingarms have the magnetic pick up, right?

It's all pretty simple. Magnetic pickup or not, most aftermarket dashes will come with their own pickup.

Most of the older MyChron's are made for karts. The Gold Plus that I used on my 748 trackbike was for a kart and it worked fine on the bike, just some creative thinking involved!!
