Default anyone upgraded to Brembo monoblock racing calipers?

Just out of curiosity, has anyone used the real Brembo monoblock calipers, P32/36?

Is there a big difference between the P34 34 and the racing units?

I´m talking about the stuff that´s on the RS and factory bikes, here´s a pic of Foggy´s 996.

I know there are different p32/36s to be had with ti-pistons and such, but if you have any experience, please share.

BCM hooked me up with unobtanium Brembo radial pinless pad, hollow, vented titanium piston monoblocks from Yoyodyne. Used in SBK and MotoGP wet setups.

Best brakes I'll ever use. Still using stock rotors + Spiegler SS lines. Excellent feel, superb stopping power, no fade when using Brembo Racing LCF 600 plus Low Compressibility Brake Fluid.

Travis,

sick brake setup and übersick fork bottoms. Did you get them custom made?

I have Brembo P34/34s, old school 65mm axial mounting. Brake perfomance is very good. Just wondering if there was more to be had.

Indeed since the advent of radial brakes all the R&D has been done on them so, whether radial setup is better than axial or not, the latest radials are the way to go IMHO.

Here's mine;

Great brakes.
Had them on my 916SP. moved them over to my 996R when I sold the SP.

they are the ohlins screw on kit you can buy, they are beefy but do not come setup for your axle. i first made spacers with shoulders but have ti quick change setup minus the rotating fender mounts(maybe someday)

Not sure of the model number, but these radials are the best i've ever ridden. Always takes a bit when i jump back onto a standard setup

those silver 4 pad radials are so good, no need for more. if you want the look the hp calipers are made the same way as monoblocks but are 2 peice.

Hi Ben,

The brake setup you have now is good and I honestly doubt you'll notice much of a difference if you swap to radials. It's going to cost you plenty while getting almost nothing in return. I don't think it's worth it unless you're after the looks of the radials (as in cosmetic upgrade).
