Default Torque for front axle pinch bolts

OK, which one of you encyclopedias of information knows the torque numbers for the front axle pinch bolts for a 999 with Ohlins forks?

28 ft/lb sticks in my head but I need to be sure.

Thanks!

I may be missing it, but I don't see the numbers I'm looking for. On the other hand, I'll be torquing everything on this list tonight. Thanks.

I would have thought "fork end screw" with the 1-2-1 tightening sequence.

I'd like to see a 8mm bolt tightened to 85 ft/lbs

When it strips you just back off a quarter and all is good. Works on all bolts I tighten. (Don't let me work on your bike. )

Thanks all!

Default Frt Wheel monting

Anyone notice a distorted axle? Specifically, on the big end across from speedo drive and nut? The side where the locating tool fits. Slightly less than round where the compression valve bore intersects the axle bore? If so is that overtorque or they all do that? It is thin. I think it could be such that it resisted the leg centering itself withthe settling bounce.

I think this is typical "ovaling" of the thin walled end of the axle. Would be worse if over-torqued. I understand that titanium axles don't have this problem.

Default Thanks

Just wanted to know it is not just me. I believe a titanium axle would alleviate this ovaling. Should have known one was offered as is every other part for these things. I dressed mine and it goes in ok so I will just research the Ti axle for now. Ciao

For what its worth, I understand that the Ti axles aren't a lot lighter however I've never been one to care about functionality when adding bling to my bike - although I contend that the neon lights I've mounted are a great safety feature.
