Default Test rode an 1198S today...

...oh my.

Selling my frankenduc ASAFP.

That thing was good power wise, but setup needed work and was amazed how much smoother my 996 engine is (like no vibes in comparison). It breaks 140-150mph in a hurry...

And it's comfy!

I have a 999 but I am thinking about the 1198. You said it was good power wise and I have seen the dyno sheets.

What does it feel like when you go full throttle?? It has to be amazing!

I've certainly ridden faster stuff but it's good. Kind of like an old school gixxer built up, basically it's got torque and power in contrast to new R1's etc. that are really peaky.

Wheelied in gears 1-3 on power, but DTC was on. Not sure of DTC effect.

Honestly it feels like the engine runs like it should.

Actually no. The wife being Taiwanese is very disapointed in the lack of mastransit here stateside.

I would love to get a 848 and send it over to Dept of Suspension and and 1198S or even that new BMW...but instead a car and probably another kid.
