Fairly easy, you need:
1098 frame
1098 wire harness
1098 Fairing + Airducts
1098 Airbox/Injection Manifold
1098 wire Harness/ECU, Electrics
bit of welding and machining and thats it

Why don't you get the big bore kit for the 999? I believe it punches it out to 1135 or something like that. I'm thinking of doing it after my warranty expires.

You can go 1123 with a 104mm engine, but the standard 999 only has 100mm bore. I think you can do 1080cc with a 1000 DS crank. But that´s a ton of work.

The prooblem was not if I could build a bigbore.

My friends 749R engine i "beond" repair , qouted 7000 euro i parts + labor cost
if the heads are ok (bigends gone), (but they are probably gone).
(the engine is going out of the chasiss this weekend
Ducati retail prices are insane.

He will probaly go for a 999r enigine, but theare are just a few for sale.
1098 engines are plenty.

Funny, how many think that thorstens account has been hacked?

I start with 1

It just seems like an unhelpful post.
There are a number of ways to go without buying 1098 things or we can go much bigger or whatever we want,

Just adding the total of a bike is not very helpful, and certainly not respectful to the thread creator.
