Default Air filter for 998

Looking for 998 in airbox air filters. It is hard to find ones that work with shower injectors. The ones I currently use have very little surface area and I have to safety wire them to the inside of the airbox. I was looking for something that has a permently mounted bracket that made it easier for removal.

I was finishing working on the bike this weekend, as I was reinstalling the upper fairing bolts I pulled on the air runner and 1 of the clips popped. Now I have to pull the tank again clip the safety wire to get at the air runner clips. There has to be an easier way??? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

TIA Rich

Give Cal-Sportbike a call and check on the PiperCross kit. Otherwise the BMC kit would work.

If you have OEM ai rrunners or runners that can use the stock filters: Pipercross air filter kit : 748/916 OEM replacment

If you have air runners that can not use stock filters:
Pipercross air filter kit : 996/998 Moulded intake induction kit

I have the BMC filters, simple to remove for cleaning as they slide into a frame that you fit in the airbox and don't take up much airbox volume.
