Yea, its probably pretty darn close. Did you have the corse rear link as well?

That's what the Corse guys said for a 996, but with my 27 mm clamps and 120/80 front tire I can't go this low, so I set it as low as possible without scraping the fairings (much, there's light contact on the chin fairing, as long as it doesn't cause wheel hop then you're o.k.).
Top of the painted lip of the steering tube? I'm confused on that because the steering tube is blocked by the triples.

Yes, much flatter rate than stock.

But you can see it and hook a tape measure on it. The reason you measure this way is because the number is then independent of everything else like triple clamp setup, fork length, slider length, etc.

Yep, that sounds like the correct way of doing it.

Thanks for the tip, I'll start measuring it that way from now on.

Actually funny enough, I was so much quicker with my changed suspension settings, I could do things that weren't possible last time out.

Sunday is another race day, so I'll fill everyone in on how the bike performed. After sunday, its coming apart and the shock is going to be sent in for re-building and the forks are going to get new oil. Both of those things should resolve many of my other issues. I've got a 3 week respite from riding, June is a pretty empty month for me.
