Default Belly pan

I want to put a belly pan on the stock 996 bodywork....how much material needs to be cut off? I want to retain the kickstand as well. Looking at a bunch of pictures it looks like there are several versions but all need a good amount chopped off the OEM side panels?

Actually not a whole lot gets cut off. Why not just buy some aftermarket sides from sharkskinz or catalyst and have them painted. They will match great with a DP carbon bellypan.

I cut some carbon side panels to fit a belly pan, and have the remnant sitting around if you want a reference. You're basically cutting at the lowest portion where there is a crease or bend starting. The only thing that requires extra planning is to make the sidestand cutout match up. It's hard to line it up to make a trace for proper fitment, but it can be done.

sorry for the ginormous photos -----

Dan,
When you come by to measure the rear wheels over here, can you bring those two pieces so we can make a tracing of it?

I'd like to send it out to customers that need templates to cut out the original sides when they get a belly pan from us.
