Default Lateral exhaust

Lateral exhaust
I'm building a street-fighter 999 and want to mount a non-undertail style exhaust. I'd actually like to end up with something like what is found on the Aprilia RSV.

Is there anything made by/for a Ducati that will fit the double sided swing arm of the 999?

As soon as I read your post, I thought of this bike:
Custom SV650 - Cycle World Show Winner - The Kneeslider
I met and talked to the builder at a recent trackday in NJ, because I had to know more about the incredible machine that lined up next to me on the track!! I had no idea what it was until I saw it loaded on a trailer and talked to him. I love the exhaust...maybe you can contact him for info.
This would be sweet on a streetfighter- IMHO

Very unique SV exhaust, indeed.

I was thinking that, if worst came to worst, I'd be OK with a 2-1-2 system like the RC-51.

I'd certainly prefer something 2-2 like the the Aprilia, however.

deep sump or shallow sump 999?

given they're the same chassis, albeit with different sump designs, the s4rs headers and st4s headers may work together to give you testastretta head ports and dual outlet crossover. if you run some sort of st4 muffler then the pivot lets you put them where ever you want. get the mufflers cut off the inlet tubes and rewelded to give the angle you want, that;s what i had done to make the st4 exhaust on my 851 look right, as the usual st4s mufflers droop down from the inlet tubes.

apart from that it might fit up ok.

You should have Mark Savory make you a set of boom tubes, MotoCreations -- Main Page. He may have a set up that will work for you already.
